It does sound sort of like we are looking at God in a negative manner but actually, we're looking at ourselves in a negative manner. We have really joyous times when we're tight with God and we can feel him working in our lives but sometimes we start listening to Satan and falling away but since God's the awesome guy he is, he takes us out of the desert that we're in and renews our hearts so we can have a better relationship with him. It's called grace and I'm happy that God's a graceful god because there's no telling what kind of drug I would be in to or what kind of girl I'd give myself up to. |

Actually, this song is about God. It's about being reborn into the spirit. FSF talked about the meaning of this song at Cornerstone. It's awesome that there are bands that are this good and talented and are fellow brothers in Christ. I'm with you on what you said, Phrenchorn. You got a goofy name but you're right on. |

They're not a christian band actually. They all share different faiths but I'm pretty sure the lead singer's a christian by a lot of his lyrics and he's been in Christian bands before. |

I got to go with hugme. I didn't understand this song until hugme said the word abortion and it all made sense to me right then. When I thought of a girl before, it just didn't make sense or click. Plus, the thought of an emo guy taking a stand for something like that and in such a passionate way was the raddest. |

I'm with you there Duffman. I think because it is not a song that relates with a lot of people's lives so it's not as popular. Once I figure out what he's truly singing about, I think I'm gonna do the exact opposite of what he's saying not to do and then cry and talk about how this song hits me right in the heart. This is definitely the coolest Dashboard song. I'm not very good in interpreting song meanings but it sounds like he's singing about somebody that gave up something very special in the name of pride and ended up with nothing. |
