i saw dashboard at my first ever emo show, as a matter of fact he was the first emo band i ever saw. that was over a year ago. he was good enough for me to remember his name and that says a lot. i didn't look any further into his music even as his name kept popping. about 4 days ago, my girlfriend bought the vagrant records compilations (another year on the streets vol. I and II) i heard this song and was like whoa.. that song's pretty cool. about halfway through the second time i listened to it, it became my new favorite song. keep in mind that prior to four or five days ago my favorite song had been motorcycle drive-by - third eye blind. that song had reigned uncontested and supreme for over 6 years, and bam just like that. pretty soon i fear that dashboard will replace saves the day as my favorite band. so impossible is also an amazing song. the ep is amazing, dashboard is amazing, saves the day is amazing.

i hadn't really ever thought of metaphors but now that i think about it they're everywhere in this song.. i just fell in love with this song all over again.. nothing however can beat firefly, jesse and my whetstone and sell my clothes im off to heaven.. three greatest songs ever.. on a side note.. im going to see saves the day again tomorrow night with weezer.. jealous..? |
