I think it was just words she put together (or kurt did). I think that this is about a lesbian relationship, (maybe not a personal one of sarah's) but about maybe a made-up one. I blame the producer.. who the heck let her rocord this song and put it on the album? It needs to be reworked. It could be alot better. The english lyrics are ok, But the song was written in spanish and sounds alot more beautiful and much more poetic that way. Its the same idea but the english one is too literal. I have never heard beulah and have no clue about this song. But this band's name has always caught my eye cuz my Grandma's name is Beulah. heheh Anyone know where the band's name comes from..? and since this is song meanings I better put what this song means to me. I have never heard it but from what I see here it seems like tree monkey is right. It's about his punk ex-girlfriend that left a mark on his heart and he still remembers or punk music that even though he doesn't listen to it as much anymore it will always be a part of him. |

I think this song should be called "Kyle destroyed the punk scene" cuz I know this kid Kyle Mcbee who has the punk uniform and thinks everyone else is a poser. But he's the biggest of all! heheh :P seriously now, I don't really think this song is about anyone specific. I think it about all those trendy kids that become punk as part of the latest fad or trend or maybe just their current phase. ok I have a story... I have this little friend from Brazil that has a band called Ya Basta! and he sent me some mp3s of his band's songs. He told me he did a cover of this song "tearing everyone down" by anti-flag. I listened to his cover and thought "DANG!! that has to be one of the best punk songs I have heard in a long time. And his accent sounds so good. He really speaks great english! Well I had never heard the original. So I downloaded the original. To my suprise it was the exact same file he sent me!!! the little bastardo downloaded it off the internet, renamed the file, and sent it to me as his own!! I feel stupid... damn! never the less this song kicks major ass! I'd don't blame him for trying to pass it off as his own. |
