i don't see how this song could possibly be part of an anti-drug campaign. sorry doodle...somebody lied to you. and besides another one of their songs is "I Smoke Alot" and it definately sends no anti-drug message. This is a great song. |

Yes, this song is definately about drug dependence-but i don't think "hotel california" is the symbol for addiction, but when he talks of dancing in the courtyard; and prisoners of their own device is their drug of choice. |

I still love this song and i still think that it is killer. This song has a specail meaning to me. It fits a situation between one of my good friends and her dad. He is a meth-head and so she also became one when she moved in with him. Their house burnt down and she went to rehab and her dad to jail. Now she is out and straight. This song just explains a lot about them. |

I have spent many hours thinking about what this songs means. I have came up with several possible meanings-but i believe the first one I thought of is the best. I think this song is talking about someone being torn between two people. The entire song is a metaphor between this person's two choices, spoken by one of the suitors in a plee of desparation to be the chosen one. |
