| I think this song is about talking to someone over the internet, she can talk to them about anything just like a real friend. She's trying to imagine them. Talking over the net is the new way of meeting someone face to face isn't enough because you cant see them but get to know what their like, she is now in love with this person she waits for them to come on inpatiently, she knows this person but she dont thats why she feels emty.
