To Days of the New.. He's not really talking about other bands, he's talking about other emcee's. If it's Rap Rock, or just pure rap, he's talking about how some are unoriginal and that they aren't good if they just listen to Top 40 Rap. Shinoda wanted to be a rapper, and then the guitarist did a version of Stairway to Heaven and he got the inspiration to do Rock Rap. Mike Shinoda is a rapper. The song was released before they were Linkin Park, but they were called "Hybrid Theory", a rap/rock band. |
