They whine too much, and their music contains whiny depressive people! I mean, you can listen to all sorts of heavy music and a lot of it is doom and gloom but some is uplifting etc. I don't mind my bluesy albums or heavy metal with society bashing lyrics, but when some emo is screaming (with a bad screaming voice like that guy from AFI or Atreyu) about how their girlfriend left them and they want to commit suicide, I just want to lob a Machine Head album into their faces and tell them to quit being such a girl.
