Hmmm... so what's happened? I have a spare board now. Practically brand new. New Capital deck. Unused Ricta naturals wheels. Unused Bones Swiss bearings. VERY old destructo trucks. Completely random old bolts of different lengths and heads. I love it, but it's only a spare - for now. I broke one kingpin, replaced it, bent the replacement, replaced that one, and am currently hoping the new one doesn't break. I learnt lots of new stuff. I like truckstands to rail. I'm preparing to film for a major european freestyle video, RE:BIRTH. I'm heading off to New York on Saturday! YAY! I hope I have time to fit some skating in... (Get the idea I just think of skating all the time?)

Thats right. I've traded in my battered old blk/ylw lakais for some brand new blk/red osiris dazes. £50. Not bad.

I had an interesting day for skating recently... I skated in a sports hall - some sort of badminton/tennis court, wooden floor. Went nuts. 15 ft long (!) primo slides, double railflip to rail, cooperflip out. Big oldschool varialkickflips to manual. 360 shuvits to manual. New footwork lines. 1 good session. Then on the way home, I did something very VERY stupid. Ok. Picture this. A U-shaped grass bank. Perfect natural halfpipe. I rolled in on my skateboard, as the ground was hard enough to ride on. Halfway down one side I hot a brick buried in the ground and slam into the other side, knocking the wind out of me and cutting up my arms and head on glass. Right now I ache SO bad...

Guess what this means? Yep, two weeks of Sharon and skating. I guess I might also try and find some new music. Nice one.

  • Time alterations...

by Half Cab on April 07, 2003
I've just realised. I live in England, so the times on my posts aren't right. Add 5 hours. It's actually 08:14PM as I write this. (Note: I've since corrected all the times. No need to add anything, anymore)

I've just got in. I've spent all day doing railflips to rail and my back feels like it's been hit with a sledgehammer. I've had no food all day, either. I'm gonna have a stir-fry, I think. Hmmm.... This is my last week at school before the easter holidays. I get two weeks off where my house is gonna be pretty empty, so guess who'll be coming round...

  • A new month

by Half Cab on April 01, 2003
1st of April, and it's raining. And hailing. It's miserable, and I really want to go skate. I can't even go see Sharon (my gf) tonight as she's revising for a big test. No fair. I miss Sharon. I guess I'm just gonna play video games tonight.

  • Well...

by Half Cab on March 18, 2003
This sucks. I broke two skateboards in two days. Now I have nothing to ride and am waiting for a deck I mail-ordered. I'm hoping it comes tomorrow... On a lighter note, my relationship has perked up more than a little. I just wish I was round my girlfriend's now rather than being trapped here, all alone...

  • Its been a long time coming...

by Half Cab on March 03, 2003
Finally! Songmeanings is back up... YAY! It's been a long time sinse I came on this site. So much has changed. I am now no longer single, I have skated myself into the ground, learnt so many tricks and my musical tastes have altered - but only slightly. I'm still obsessed with punk and ska, and still hate pop, but have diversified to folk as well.

Right now it is 4:28 in England, Windy and sunny, and I am listening to Good Charlotte while nursing my injured back and thinking of trippy quotes to put in this... My god I have an interesting life... "Death cannot be avoided, But life can be prolonged"
