*evil laugher*.... well folks, you would be so proud. i just returned from perfoming "Half-Hanged Mary" for my local school board. "Half-Hanged Mary" is a poetry piece by Margaret Atwood that i performed this year for dramatic competition and made it to the state competition with. It's about Mary Webster, who was accused of witchcraft in the early 1600's. She was innocent, but survived the hanging... anyways, so.... lets just say i use a lot of loud vocal qualities (i.e. screaming at the top of my lungs) at certain peaks throughout the piece. to say the least i got a lot of priceless reactions. including laughter at a completely non-funny moment from my mother. okay, maybe you guys can help me out a little here.... what is so funny about (me looking at my shoulder while saying) "death sits on my shoulder like a crow waiting for the squeezed beat of a heart to BURST so he can eat my eyes!!" i dunno, lol.... i'm just glad my mother laughed and didn't cry.... a motherly thing, she cries anytime i do anything........ haha... poor me. oh well, just thought i'd share my fun of scaring the old folks who run my school for a living. it was great............ *small binder to hold my poetry piece: $5 *construction paper and glue to create neat and professional pages for my poetry to reside on: $1 *seeing the faces of my audience each and every time i perform the finished project: priceless

  • you're not f*ckin punk... get over it

okay, it seems the punk scene at my school has suddenly blown up in the past 2 weeks. it used to be that my friend dylan and i were one of the rare few who even own wrist bands, now people all over are popping up with them. everyone suddenly wants chucks, and hot topic is "so cool". this normally would be fine, punk finally getting the appreciation it deserves. but no, that's not what's happening. people suddenly want to dress punk because good charlotte is so cool. (and yet half these people doing such aren't even knowledgable of the fact that good charlotte had released a first cd before "young and the hopeless"). these people can't name any non-mainstream punk or emo bands, it's rather pathetic. they have been so quick to jump into a scene which they are completely clueless about. it's pissing me off. anyone else had any experiences with such, and any advice for getting these posers to realize their hypocricy in dressing to a style they once mocked?

well, i just discovered the "journal" section of songmeanings. what can i say? dang brilliant. right now i'm listening to Nirvana, hence the entree title. i dont really know what to talk about, i'm all jazzed from the fact that i can actually post my pointless ramblings, and if someone else is pathetically bored enough they may happen to someday wander upon them. i would have so much pity for that sad soul. anyways, i'm going to look up the lyrics for "bloom"... there are a few words in my favorite part that i cant quite translate. thank god for songmeanings! i about had a freakout when it was down for months. how can anyone possibly survive without their daily dose of songmeanings? we shall surely never know.
