What is it in Rock'n'roll that exerts such tyranny over human beings, reducing some of us to quivering protoplasm, making us melodramatic and rebellious at the same time. How does it so effectively bypass our cognitive analytical faculties? How can such primitive chords and ridiculously elemental syncopations, urged on by sophomoric [infantile?] exclamations of "Yeah" and "bay-beh" "ooh girl" and "come on now", embed themselves so deeply into our limbic systems and call our souls away to dreaming, dissipation, destruction,romance,risk - ANYTHING but reality ? Rock and Roll - pop music in general, is a fascinating phenomenon to study. I am glad this website is here and I hope to express some opinions on this topic in the near future.
