When you step into a group of people you haven't encountered before, it's almost inevitable that they will try to label you, based on what you wear, how you speak, what you listen to... If your label is compatible with there's, congratulations, they might talk to you. If it doesn't well, things could get awkward. At first, I tried to convince myself stuff like this doesn't happen. But think; why do all the indie kids have other indie friends? Same with people who skate, who follow fashion, who read vegan blogs... But usually no matter who you are, if your labeled "artsy" people will excuse your eccentricities. just something i noticed.
