D'you guys know Romeo and Juliet by the Killers and that verse that says HEY LA MY BOYFRIENDS BACK Here is my opinion about it why the la is there: 1) She actually says "Hey, love, my boyfriend's back" speaking to Paris. or... 2) She says the "la" because it shows her giddiness or excitement to see him. Kinda like a jumping up and down for words. This fits especially because the way he sings "boyfriends back" is like jumping up and down. Just my opinion...
