• It is an interesting time when your music reflects nothing of reality and more closely resembles fiction...

What I hear on the radio, Tv, satellite, web(...am I forgetting anything?) is a cacophony of desires and fantasy. I'm not saying all music, I am saying that the 'Top 40'. What we are exposed to on shows like 'American Idol', Dancing with the D-listers, and so on are all selling a dream that the average American can dream about but never attain. Oh don't get me wrong this is still the land of opportunity, compared to almost anywhere else. What I question is the escapism of the American public. I understand the fear, we have been sold a bill of goods that says we are targets (I wonder why that would be). I have wondered for a long time now why it seems that the youth of my community are so narcissistic, rude, and well, not kids?!? I'm 38. I don't think of myself as 'old', more experienced, I have done some traveling, been there done that (would love to do more). so few of the young people I meet today have never even left there town let alone state or country. Is it because playing video games is easier than working to travel. That sounds harsh, but I also have to think of what the Us has been doing for 9 years. People from the age of 22 and under have no concept of what it is to Not know fear. Everyone tells you that your Mom or Dad or other relative is going to Iraq, Afghanistan, or somewhere further; and your loved ones don't come back, the letters you get are redacted, the only way you know they are alive is because you are on the MIA tweets. What does it mean that even in out own country we have an entire state that is willing to Out law being from a different country. I predict tourism is going plummet in Arizona...lol. ( I just heard there are 3 others as well, If you know which I 'd like to know too. more soon
