  • Reunited, and it feels so good.

    by l0vef00l on May 03, 2010
I was reunited with my high school friends last Sunday when out of the blue, I got a text from Stephanie asking me if I'm available that night for a night swimming. Jasper, one of my classmates back then is here in the Philippines for a vacation. (He's a US navy now, which I can't believe until now knowing how he was when we were still in high school. (long story! hihi. ) Oh well, people change I guess.:P) I initially declined because I was feeling lazy but Step was so persistent so I said yes. Also, it's been quite a long time since I last saw them. Too bad Ice and Jane can't go, and Elaine is still in Singapore. It was just me, Step, Liz, Jasper and his friend Gelo. We went to Calamba, Laguna and checked in to Splash Mountain Resort. It was kinda pricey but reasonable. (plus the boys took care of it. lol.) I liked our room and the resort's ambience. The pools although there are a lot, are kinda ordinary. We arrived around past midnight and was surprised to see alot of people still swimming. Most of them are youngsters. Maybe they're from Manila too and can't stand the heat in the city anymore? It's been really really hot this summer! I had a boo boo when I changed clothes in the washroom. I didn't notice the window is kinda see through. Argh. Good thing it was just them and I was facing back. We just laughed about it. Anyhoo, what else can I do about it, right? :D Us girls went downstairs right away to go swimming. Girl talk the entire time. :)) When we came back to our unit the two boys were nowhere in sight. We got a text from Jasper that they had to leave for a family emergency but they didn't specify what. Honestly, we're pretty sure they just went to a party somewhere cause we heard them talking on the phone to some girl about coming over. We hope we're correct. :) We didn't mind. We're happy to have our girl bonding. :p It looked like my entire weekend was spent catching up with old friends. Lovely! :)) And it turned out I got what I wanted anyway, aka the night swimming. Hurrah for that. :D Here are some of the pictures. As usual, I'm the most conservative. LOL!

  • Who's Next?

    by l0vef00l on May 03, 2010
I was supposed to go to a pool party last Saturday night but it didn't materialize to my dismay. :( I was really looking forward to that party. My friend, Mary backed out because of a date, plus her ex boyfriend will most likely be there with the present girlfiend according to her. And I understood perfectly. It can really be awkward. Although our other friend John, asked me to still go since he's gonna be there anway, I did not. I thought of going but I realized how tired I am when I lay down on my bed to take a short nap when I got home from the wedding. From work that day, I only slept an hour and a half and had to prepare already for a friend's wedding where I was a bridesmaid, and the reception's host. The nap turned out to be a twelve hour sleep. Phew! It was a welcome change from my usually 3 to 4 hour sleep everyday.

About the wedding, I honestly didn't see that coming. Rere, the bride was my bestfriend from childhood to early college. We were inseprebale, together with our other friend Tina. We practically grew up together in church. Things change when I started working. I don't to go to church anymore regularly. And now, I rarely go. Only on important occasions such as the wedding. I miss them if truth be told. But right now I don't think I can leave the way I'm living my life. Going back to church means I can't party anymore, can't smoke, can't drink, etc.

We, the three of us, used to talk and teased each other who will tie the know first. We are correct to predict it's gonna be Rere. She was so pretty that day. They had so little time preparing for the wedding but it turned out okay. It wasn't anyhting grand but it was beautiful. Every wedding I think is beautiful, or am I just a hopeless romantic? :) There were if I'm not mistaken 70 to 80 people only. Mostly the bride's relatives and church mates since Winson's (the groom) relatives are in the province. The entire ceremony if I have to describe it is light, casual and simple. Both groom and bride had their emotional moment especially during the part where they're saying their vows to each other. I guess one can't help it, Even some of the guests were teary-eyed at some point. Eherm. :p I don't know Winson that much. 'Was only able to talk to him on few occasions when they were still bf-gf. My instinct is telling me though that he's gonna be a good husband to my friend. Well, he better be. :P

It was so nice catching up with old friends. It's tru that if the friendship is geuine, it will never go away even if you don't see each other often. Here are some snap shots of the wedding:

By the way, I got the fuckin' bouquet of flowers. Don't tell me what you are already thinking. Hell no. :p
