The coffee's cold And there are no cookies left Wonder where they've gone In the silence I hear my heart sink Into the endless waves of black The room is empty But the air is thick of life That's no longer around My thoughts are blank As the shadows of my shattered dreams Begin to drift away You know I mean it When I say I love you too You say it all will be ok someday You know I feel it Even when the tears have dried Is it really better this way? How could I get you from my mind When you have been there for so long How could I open the radio When I hear your voice in every song I jump and crawl Across the deserts of my memories There's no road to show the way In the distance I see a sudden light So far away and small You know I mean it When I say I love you too You say it all will be ok someday You know I feel it Even when the tears have dried Is it really better this way? How could I get you from my mind When you have been there for so long How could I open the radio When I hear your voice in every song The coffee's cold And there are no cookies left Wonder where they've gone
