A little bit about me.
by LyricCrazed302 on June 19, 2009So I was just trying to find the meaning to "Near to You" by A Fine Frenzy & I found this site, and I really wanted to comment for myself so I just signed up :] Well, obviously I'm very into finding the meanings to songs. I don't like listening to music unless I have some kind of connection to it. Such as a memory, a feeling, or just the lyrics giving me a certain feeling. I really like people who can understand that when I explain things I'm not being "mellow-dramatic" I'm really feeling the way I say I am. I'm never trying to sound dramatic but I can see how some people will see it that way. I do listen to anything. I like rap but mostly just when I'm having funor something to dance to. I've noticed I connect more with rock, R&B, Pop, and country music. I like alot of rock(mostly 90's) because I grew up with it. My dad(Todd) is a bass guitar player and he sings. My mom(April) was a drummer and she also sang. So I guess the apple doesn't fall to far from the tree :] But yea, that music is a memory reminder for me. I can listen to a song from like Pearl Jam, Candlebox, The offspring, or Bush and it sounding very familiar and being like "oh yea, I remember my dad played this or I heard this a long time ago and I'll look up the lyrics fall in love with the song and then move on to another one. lol, alot of bands today I like in rock to. I kinda have an addiction to Theory of a Deadman..or the lead singer, I'm not sure. both! haha. I really like Tyler connoly's voice and I find him very attractive. Also The All-American rejects, Third Eye Blind I have just recently started listening to & fell in love with their music. Sublime of course! I also love Jack Johnson which is more alternative/soft rock. His music is good to listen to when your in a slump(garanteed to cheer you up) just with the sound of his voice, well for me anyways. lol R&B is something I first got into when I was about eight years old. I liked JoJo alot which introduced me to it. but she's also a little pop. I went through a Mariah Carey phase when I was in 4th and 5th grade, which is diffrent taste for a little girl in elementary school. I appreciate R&B alot more now that I've had the typical heartbroken experiences that are found in a lot of R&B songs. Keysia Cole is by far also one of my favorites. Leona Lewis is spectacular, her songs got me through alot of things I went through when I started growing up and dealing with guys. Pop music. OMG, what preteen or even elementary school kid didn't listen to hilary Duff and all the music on disney channel? I was deffinetly one of those kids in the 90's and early 2000's thats all I listened to practically. NSync/backstreet boys/aaron carter/Britney spears/ christinia aguilaera/ play. The list could goes on. I still listen to pop music today, the really cheesy stuff no doubt. Demi lovato, miley syrus(not a big fan of hers personally, I just like her songs) you know the disney channel stuff never fails, even though I'm not a big fan of disney anymore. Country is now a big branch of music for me also. First favorite country artists was deffinetly leanne rimes & leanne womack. I also really like loretta lynn & I'm in love with her story. She's a much older country artists but her music is nevertheless amazing. Taylor Swift,of course! every girl/boy/everyone likes Taylor Swift. It's inevitable. Carrie Underwood of course, she has the lungs of life. Very respected to me. Every Single song Rascal Flatts have out out there has never failed to get me hooked. I love them. Keith urban, ever since he came out with "making memories of us", I've been comitted to making it my wedding song. lol I also like rap. I think some rap is very meaningful. Ti's music, bone thugs & harmony. Akon(I'm a big fan of his songs). As you see I have a very large variety. I like people who can feel this way about it like I do :]
