• The Summer Heat (words&music by Britt Stevens)

by sonnetsforthesongless on May 21, 2009
The Summer heat, These city streets, Glow in your eyes, So kiss me one more time Before we go home, Before we go, Before we go home. We slept out by the sea, and we held eachother. You feel in love with me; I'll never need another. You took me by surprise, these Summer nights. I'd do anything just to see. The Summer heat, These city streets, Glow in your eyes, So kiss me one more time Before we go home, Before we go, Before we go home. I took your hand in mine, and to you I promise: We'll stand the test of time; I don't want to ever lose this. I won't go, so hold me close. So falling in love feels like. The Summer heat, These city streets, Glow in your eyes, So kiss me one more time Before we go home, Before we go, Before we go home. (Guitar solo) The Summer heat, These city streets, Glow in your eyes, So kiss me one more time Before we go home, Before we go, Before we go home.

  • Here's to Honesty (words&music by Britt Stevens & Garrett Fussell)

by sonnetsforthesongless on May 21, 2009
When I stay with you tonight; Watch the crystal gleam in your eyes. Will you forget our last fight? I said I loved you, but that was a lie. (But that was a lie) I can't stop calling you out; no, no, no. I can't stop calling you out; no, no, no. I've finally found my way out With words you were never meant to hear. See, I've finally realised What you truly mean to me, And when I looked into your eyes I felt complete, but honestly. (But honestly) I can't stop calling you out; no, no, no. I can't stop calling you out; no, no, no. I've finally found my way out With words you were never meant to hear. And I'm sorry For all the things that I have done. I know you never meant to be this way. Just know that neither of us have won. And sorry's not a word I'd ever say. (I'd ever say) I can't stop calling you out; no, no, no. I can't stop calling you out; no, no, no. I've finally found my way out With words you were never meant to hear. I can't stop calling you out; no, no, no. I can't stop calling you out; no, no, no. I've finally found my way out With words you were never meant to hear. When I stay with you tonight; Watch the crystal gleam in your eyes. I won't forget our last fight. I said I loved you: But that was a lie.

  • If Only (words&music by Britt Stevens; no longer a S4S song)

by sonnetsforthesongless on May 21, 2009
If only I Could spend every moment in your arms, Girl, I'd give you the stars; If only I could reach that far. I know that, girl, I'd give you the moon. With its bright silver glowing so that soon You'd confess that you love me too. Girl please don't make this hard - I tried, but I don't know how to start. And in time I'd be your only one, your only confidant. It's ok if you need time, girl, just remember who sang you this song And if I could sweep you away, you'd be off your feet today. And if I could be the one to tell you how much you mean to me, Girl it'd set me free. If only I Could share every secret with you, Girl my dreams would be true; If only I could share them with you. I know that, girl, I'd give you my heart. With the hope that we never would part. It's not much, but this love is a start. Girl, I swear that I'm starting today, I'll prove that I'm trusting in you. And in time I'd be your only one, your only confidant. It's ok if you need time, girl, just remember who sang you this song And if I could sweep you away, you'd be off your feet today. And if I could be the one to tell you how much you mean to me, Girl it'd set me free.

Ok, so I have submitted my band to become an artist on this site. However, while we are still pending I will upload some of our lyrics via my journal. I say some, because I will only upload lyrics that I have written myself or at least partially myself; our lead singer is also involved in the songwriting process and writes songs by himself as well. Thank you for taking the time to look them over!
