Sorry Hearts?
by MarjorieLuellaMorton on January 09, 2009So today I was listening to a song by Blue October called Sorry Hearts. It really got me thinking: Do we all really have sorry hearts? Do you think that murderers feel sorry for what they've done, if not on a concious level, then at least sub-conciously? I do. I think that even though they may not admit it, they can't help but feel remorse for the life they've taken. I think that's partly why so many convicted criminals take their own lives. But on a smaller scale, do we personally have sorry hearts? Even if you've never killed a person, or stolen someone's prized posessions, do you have a sorry heart? I think everyone does. Human kind has come to such a place in this day and age, that it is close to being impossible to believe that people are still good. But there is good in our world. Look past the fighting, the killing, the cursing and whatnot, and you'll see a world that God created, and loves. Even to this day, God loves what He's created. He may not love the actions, but the people are always loved. So, the next time you see something that you CAN fix, fix it. It doesn't take a special, or a sorry heart to be able to do that. It take you and a few monments of your time. In the words of Blue October,
"We all take spiritual drives down dead end streets of our lives, weeping rock bottom cries with our head high. And I'm here to tell you why; we all, we all, we all have sorry hearts."
