The rain falls down mellow like your sweat
it soaks my hair and forms a mask across my face
The raindrops get bigger and weigh down on my eyelashes
I’m in a daze…
moving so slow like I’m caught in the smoke
I look down at my hands and they can’t seem to reach up
They are being drained and sucked into the gutter
my veins still stay attached
I’ve become an octopus
