Indie playlist
by croatian_visitor on July 07, 2008Yesterday I created my first mp3 cd. It is also the first jukebox cd that contains so many tracks. There is 147 songs and thay are mostly indie. When I say indie, I don't exlude pop and soft rock. This cd has many tracks from these artists: Coldplay (24), Keane (16), James (12), Travis (5), Turin Brakes (7), Badly Drawn Boy (5), The Charlatans (14), The Killers (5). Other artists are less represented, spawning from 1 to 3 or 4 tracks. I put few songs that cannot be called indie (Westlife (2), Suede (3), Red Hot Chili Peppers (3), Placebo (2)), few "unnown" artists like The Dodos, The Jan Watkins Band, Creaky Boards - but they are all good. I only put songs from 2 Charlatans' albums, those songs which I liked after listening them (Up At The Lake, You Cross My Path). Other albums, which I believe are also great, I didn't hear. I also put 7 tracks from Morrissey even though I'm not sure if he is indie.
I think this is a great cd, especially for Coldplay fans, but also for everyone that like indie rock.
This cd also includes Arcade Fire (3), The Notwist (4), David Gray (5), Infadels (1). By one song there are Primal Scream (Movin' on up), 30 seconds to Mars (A beautiful lie), Soul Asylum, Snow Patrol, Ryan Adams, Social Disortion, The Cure, The Connels, Band of Horses, Fatboy Slim, Phantom Planet.
Athlete (2), Arctic Monkeys (2), Kaiser Chiefs (3).
