Metro Station's good in the way that Twilight and Degrassi are good. If you accept them for what they are (a band that writes unoriginal poppy music, a cliche badly written teenage fantasy, a predictable soap opera), they're brilliant. Well. Maybe it doesn't work with Twilight after all.

Fuck you, Richard Rodriguez. Life is all about lies. Isn't it wonderful. =/

asjdfglkawjrhklawjsgkjas. I hate education. I'm supposed to write a paper about whether I think education does more harm than good or not. I DON'T CARE ABOUT IT. Call me ungrateful, but education to me doesn't make sense. Experiences are worth SO much more than any literature or math skills. Intelligence has NOTHING to do with education. Getting good grades doesn't make one smart. Being book smart is a waste of time. The only reason we are even taught the things we are is that some EDUCATED person decided "Hey, this should be common knowledge!" Stupid. Can you think of one reason one would ever REALLY need to use Shakespeare or the fact that Jesuit scholars impressed ancient Chinese rulers by fixing clocks? It would be better and more efficient to teach basic life skills, but no one does that. That's up to parents. Not that I'm for illiteracy or anything. I just don't understand why people focus so much on things that don't matter. Like a HUGE portion of high school curriculums.
