    by joie-de-vivre on August 31, 2008
(Ok the title is suppose to be "#4 I dont think im gonna stick with the rhyming anymore, but maybe a few times more) I was thinking about this last night (and a while before yesterday too, but thats beside the point) But Have any of you seen the episode of Saturday Night Live with "Christopher Walken" and "Panic At The Disco?" This is my favorite episode, its Hilarious, And it has panic at the disco! But Heres where my story comes in: So before this episode was aired, i really had NO Idea who PATD was. I thought of them as this punk band who i wouldnt give the time of day to, because i was this Country Boy - That music was not my interest at all. Well when i watched this episode, I instantly liked PATD, and from those 2 songs, they are now my favorite band. I love all the songs but One. Well this episode like Changed me. I went from listening to Country all the time, to now Listening to Punk/rock Punk/pop whatever all that stuff is called. Since i liked Panic!, i, from them, went on to learning Other bands, and liking Their music as well. Now i barely ever listen to Country. So All because of that One SNL Episode, my music taste has changed. And i think my personality changed as well (At least only a little bit) from listening to Punk/Rock instead of County/pop. So, yeah, i just wanted to say how I like that episode, not only cuz its Hilarious, but because it has changed me. hahaha that sounds so lame, an episode of a tv show changed me! But its kinda true. Well Since its Sunday, i wish you all a Great week!

  • Number Three, A mon avis

    by joie-de-vivre on August 29, 2008
(A Mon Avis = In My Opinion in French. It is pronounced (Ah Moan Avee) I Was Just thinking... Some people post Journals, and like ask questions and want responses, but people have to use Actual E-mail for that. They should have like a mailing thing for SongMeanings. Then people could message easier, and keep better track of who is sending messages. Thats just my oppinion -I Already wished a nice day today, so keep having a nice day, or start now!

  • Number Two, for you.

    by joie-de-vivre on August 29, 2008
Ok, for Journal #2, i'm not going to Blog about my life, but use this space to send a message to you people out there. On Many lyric pages, theres some person who says what they think the song means. This persons ideas might not be the same as yours, but that doesnt mean they are wrong, and im not saying you are wrong either. Music is Art. Art can be interpreted in different ways. It can be like an Ink Blot test. Some may see a mans face, with sorrow on it. Others may see a graveyard. Now, yes, there are some songs that are a little more This-is-how-it-is, but still, it doesnt give you the right to get offensive and call people "stupid" "ass holes" "fucking idiots" no reason to tell them to go "Die in a ditch" or "fuck off" What is this all about? So one person sees something different, They should. Maybe they just look at it different, maybe they took English class and have been forced to Over-analyze things, so they did that to a song, and see something else. Why not next time, try saying something like "Well X_____ I dont see that in this song, heres what i see." This site is called "Song Meanings." What does this song mean to you. Not "Curse someone out because they gave an idea" Oh and those people who yell at people for saying how This song relates to his own life. Gosh what is your problem? Again, This site is about what this song means to you. And most songs are Suppose to relate to people, Artists Hope this happens. But you sit there and yell at people because "They are trying to get sympathy" NO That Are Not. They are just saying "Hey, this happened in my life, and this song really describes well on what happened" or "Hey, this song helped me through my breakup" They are just talking, just showing how this song relates to them. It gives a song more meaning. "Song Meanings" And a lot of the time, The meaning has already been said, Do you want people to repeat the same meaning Every comment? And for the times its not said, still leave them alone. Well thats it for me for this Journal. Have a Nice day, everyone!

Well, I joined this site a Long while ago, and i havent blogged once. I figured- No one knows me, and blogging is stuped, no one cares anyway. But my personality has been changing and I've found that want to just type. I dont have many people i can just Talk to (or type to) and the only person who i could actually talk to is never online. So i guess ill just use this? By the way - If anyone is wondering . . . My Username means Joy of life/living (its french) And it is somewhat ironic. Im not like Hardcore Emo or anything, i dont cut or whatever else they do special, but like i've found life to be such a waste, for lack of better word. I really like the song "northern downpour" by Panic At The Disco. The lines "For Diamonds do appear to be just like broken glass to me" and "I know the worlds a broken bone, but melt your headaches call it home" describe how i feel about life. Its suppose to be this Wonderful thing, full of beauty, but really, at least to me, it seems like this dull, overrated experience. But I wont be suicidal about that, i just have to deal with it, "call it home." -I guess ill dedicate a whole journal entry to me and my "broken glass" of a world later, but for now i will stop before i lose control and blab on and on about my life in one entry.
