sy, smiths, nick cave
by hazzamatazza on July 16, 2007hmmmm song meanings seems to be the place where every body spills out all their inner feelings. which is kinda neat coz your just typing to bunch of peeps who probably couldn't give but you don't know that, unless youre me or somebody who knows that. . . ahh any way. back to me hmmmmm d&m.... well last year (end of) is when i first heard/appreciated the smiths. you know that song accept yourself, it seemed to break me open and pull me into little pieces and i would lie in awe and my bedroom floor (but my mother is quite nice and probably wouldn't smother me(sorry to all those who don't know the smiths(although who doesn't???))) woohaa!!! tripple brackets anywho i decided to live by this song, i had this breakdown of doubting myself which i suppose most teenagers have and i was wigging out coz in a few days i was going on exchange to morocco. this song seemed to get me through but in the meantime all me friends had tried to cheer me up, giving me happy music. the music seemed to make me temporarily happy and although it was sad music that had triggered it off it was also sad music help me figure it all out. Accept yourself... it's easier said then done.
any way now i'm all finished with that load of wank (which is allltrue by the way) now i can talk about stuff i acctually want to talk about
SONIC YOUTH are a fantastic band. i'm going through this stage of idolizing kim gordon (which is generally stupid although kim is great nobody is perfect) anyway i bought her chronicles and i love them and i got a sonic youth tee , poster, dvd ,cd's etc and so now i'm so totally immersed in something (ha ha which is kinda peeving my folks off considering they only like bob dylan and nick cave(nothing against either of them they are both great)) anyway back to the plot when i get my self really immersed in sonic youth i find it really hard to think about anything else. hmmmm i think i should lay off the sy for a while
i hope they come back to melb soonish
btw nick caves relatives live on my street ha ha they are nothing like nick cave... v conservitive
