bought 3 new cd's last night- Kaiser Chiefs- Yours Truly, Angry Mob My Bloody Valentine- Loveless Muse- Origin of Symmetry Kaiser Chiefs are incredibly awesome- I got 30 seconds into the first song and knew I'd fallen in love. My Bloody Valentine is cool as well, I wasn't sure what to expect from them but I was really quite pleased with what I heard. Muse, well I already love Muse. I own Black Holes and Revelations, but this CD is ten times better and with a different sound too. I'm impressed

Sigur Rós...possibly one of the greatest bands I've ever stumbled upon. So much beauty and life in every chord, every key, every word sung. Their music is pure brilliance. The songs are the soundtrack to every breathtaking dream and every tear filled nightmare you've ever had. I always say how Mew is the greatest, how no band can compare, but Sigur Rós comes damn close. It's obvious by now that I found Takk, the cd by them that I'd been hoping to buy. My favorite songs right now from it are: Glósóli, Sæglópur, Gong, and Hoppípolla. In the name of all that is musical, buy Takk!

I just got my hands on two Bjork cd's: Gling Glo and Vespertine. I love them dearly- although they are basically polar opposites in terms of the music style. I had to order the Gling Glo cd and was surprised to find that all the lyrics are in Icelandic (which is silly since I already knew that Bjork is Icelandic)! I'm really anxious to see if I can find any Sigur Ros cd's around here, but I doubt they released anything in the US. I may have to order like the others but that could be expensive. :( I also got The Zookeeper's Boy single; and an Amusement Parks on Fire cd is in the mail soon to arrive at my house :) can't wait!

Hey there, my name is Rachel and I'm fairly new to this site. My sn (FrengerLovely) is just a backwards way of calling myself a lovely Frenger (way to point out the obvious- right?). For those of you who do not know what Frenger means- it is the nick name for people who are fans of a band called Mew. Frengers= "Not quite friends but not quite strangers." As you may have guessed by now, My favorite band is Mew. Truly amazing music...so touching. Flat out, they are the greatest. I also like music by: Fiona Apple, The Shins, Death Cab for Cutie, My Chemical Romance (some of you want to kill me for that now I'm guessing), Augustana, Mae, Muse, Cartel, and Hellogoodbye (Bjork is really good as well- hoping to find one of her albums). I know I don't have much variety, but I'm looking to change that. Hmm.. what to say, what to say.. Ok well here's some random facts: I'm 14 years old, I live in Pennsylvania, I'm a female, I'm about as non-religious as you can get, I'm addicted to the computer, I have great friends, I'm a vegetarian, I love music, I'm in 8th grade, I don't really fit under any label (same with my style I guess), I act, I love to write poetry, and basically I'm just loving my life right now. This is more like a biography than a journal entry but hey what can you do. I guess I'll post more when I feel like it, see you all. ~Rachel
