Why was 80s mainstream shit? MTV. In the early 90s, the underground music of the 80s broke into public view again. Sadly, shit bands destroyed that too. Now it is only about money. Every mainstream artist today is terrible and even underground artists are confused as to where take music next. R.I.P.
