Blonde Rehead's "for the Damaged" is one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. I just listened to it on repeat while I read Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse-5.

So today I decided to come to this site to look up some lyrics, which is basically the only thing I do on here. And I said to myself, does anyone actually read the journals people put up? Now I'm writing one of these. I went on somewhat of a tirade today, as I was in a conversation with a friend about music, and wanted to make a point about...how bad lyrics are getting. Case in point, Nickelback and Avril Lavigne's "Girlfriend."I'll be honest, I liked Avril Lavigne when her first record came out. When I was 12. Now, I hear the songs (which are going to be completely unavoidable) and just cringe. So I put in my .02 cents, and am going to check back tomorrow for the knee-jerk, outraged responses, mostly by the Nickelback fans, as I didn't really spare any words in what I thought of one of their songs. this journaling thing is kind of fun, actually. Some of my favorite types of music are alternative, indie, punk, and modern rock. Not so much classic rock. I listen to alot of different bands and solo musicians, my current obsessions are Riot Grrrl bands, I've been listening to Bangs' "Sweet Revenge" on repeat.
