I am new to the site. I enjoy reading comments on some of my favorite songs, and on some of my non-favorite songs. On several pages there is a lack of directness in the comments. Interestingly, few comments address what the song actually means to the person. Instead, they respond to other comments, or they state their flat opinion: "I like this song so much!!!" or "I dislike this song so much!!!," which by itself, without explanation, is kind of useless to anyone else. I confess I don't understand why this is. Surely people have a response to songs. They just don't explain it. Why not? Is it too personal? Why should that matter? The site is anonymous, for heaven's sake. You can basically say anything you want. If a song made you run in circles, you can say that! If it made your dog cry, you can say that too! There are basically no consequences, which should mean people are uninhibited about sharing their feelings and ideas.
