I just finished an analysis of "The Hand That Feeds" by NIN and although I'm not a big NIN fan, that song is a wonderful strike at the world we live in today, especially as Americans.
Absolutely in love with Tori Amos lately. I only have two of her albums, but heard "From the Choirgirl Hotel" and am desperately trying to get my hands on it-it's a fucking amazing album.
Also, Modest Mouse's new CD sounds incredible. Much more coherent than their previous stuff. It's coming out Tuesday, and I'm going to buy it on Wednesday, along with the Tori CD if I have enough money.
Also, in other exciting news-Tori Amos: American Doll Posse out May 1. Can't even wait.
Listening to "Atlantic City" on repeat. Born after his first heydey, but I grew up listening to him cause both my parents are fans. Well I've been listening to his old albums lately and I've re-fallen in love with his music. Amazing artist, as I'm sure is evident to a whole lotta people.
Finally joined this damn thing. I'll probably abandon it in about a month anyway...but what the hell. It's good for the occasional comment. Went to Snowcoming last night. It was crazy fun, although the music was kind of shitty whatever.
