I just discovered this place on the net and I think it's great. What else can possible unite people to that extend like music does. When emotions are running wild there is no stepping back and music is maybe one of few the things left in he civilized world that still allows to truely express oneself without having to find a reason for. So I am really glad there is a platform to share thoughts about songs and discover new opinions. However, there are certain things that I particularly find pretty stupid 1. just writing to tell something this is the best song ever, and the best band ever, the best idea, the greatest sound and so on. Everybody is free to be enthusiastic about something, however overreacting by writing like there is only one true song in the world is pretty annoying 2. being locked to a particular interpreation of a song. like arts in general music is very subjective. you might feel about it some way, other will or will not. having an opinion and not accepting any other will bar yourself from disscovering new aspects 3. just pick some words from the song, interprete them literally. I think a song is a unit that belongs together. Each part of the song is a little piece to the whole, and so each sentence, each word can only exist within the context of the song, and it should not be taken away from it.
