  • Huzzah. I'm Alive.

by Psychotic Penguin on August 26, 2006
I managed to survive my first week of school. In just five days, I've already had 3 tests, about 6 quizzes, had to write two compositions (one only half-done), and have come up woth a topic for an article on a local magazine I'm forced to write to thanks to my Academy English class. Great. Only about 30-something more weeks to go. At least next week I get Monday off (Labor Day)... And a girl in choir is jokingly threatening to steal my purse/book-bag because I told her I went to the Korn concert and I still have the ticket with me (Though I fail to see what good it'll do her. It's expired, my initials are on the ticket, and the show was over three weeks ago). Sigh. It'll (hopefully) get better with time. .( )_( ) (=^.^=) ( .>*

  • First Day Back in Hell

by Psychotic Penguin on August 21, 2006
Well, it's about 4:47 PM right now. Today was my first day back at school, 8th grade. I always like the first few days of school. You barely have anything to do, and there's a high chance you don't have homework (though this year, I wasn't so fortunate). When I got there, it all came back to me from 7th grade. Where to go, what to do. First class... Algebra. And not just normal algebra. Fucking higher rank algebra, tougher algebra. My brain doesn't work too well at EIGHT O CLOCK IN THE MORNING. What a hell of a first class THAT is. And today, the first day of school, the teacher managed to get through his rules and stuff quick enough to make juuuussst enough time for us to go over algebraic expressions. THAT was pleasant....... Then I had to go to choir, but this year, I have to be in campus choir, not concert choir (the higher one) because of my Academy English class. It's either English or singing... I'll go with writing. Then higher rank, tougher English class, then Academy English, which is where you just write and learn to write. Lunch, which I didn't even eat (or get, for that matter. They still serve the same shit they did last year, so I figured 'fuck it', eat food I like when I get home), then home room, US History (which I don't like too well). Then I go to PE and sweat before the day's over. But, good news-- My friend Casey who I wanted to be in some of my classes is in my PE and Science class. Yay! Final class, higher rank, tougher science with my friend. Then release from that hell. So... That's how it's gonna be, I guess, for the rest of the school year.

  • Eve of the First Day Back in Hell

by Psychotic Penguin on August 21, 2006
Well, it's about 11:39 PM here where I am, and tomorrow I have to go back to school. Goody. Even though I'm supposed to be asleep (due to the fact that I have to get my lazy ass up at 6:30 AM to wash and get ready in time to be there by 8:00), I'm burning CDs right now so that I don't have to take my own to school. If I get my bag stolen, I can just burn another copy. Even though taking iPods and CD players to school is against the rules, everybody does it anyway. I'm burning Toxicity, Take a Look in the Mirror, and Life is Peachy. The others will soon follow later in the school year. Hopefully I'll get my friend Casey in some of my classes. She was only in one last year-- Choir --and that was it. We didn't even have the same lunch period. I haven't seen her all summer, since her family usually travels everywhere and takes a lot of vacations while me and my family sit here at the house and in our town being lazy all summer :P But it's all good. It'll be better than the hell that was called 'Seventh Grade'. My mom says that seventh grade is the worst school year, but it gets better after that. She better not be lying. Hm... nothing other than that. I'm all ready and have all of my school supplies in place and ready to go. I have spirit shirts (DAMN YOU, SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS WITH YOUr DUMB ASS DRESS CODE!!!! DAMN YOU!!!!!!) and my Led Zeppelin side bag/backpack/purse (Awesome.). Wish me luck. I'll need it. PS: I've found a member by the user name 'barnacles'. He comes to the Korn boards and posts shit about them, then he goes off and posts comments on Modest Mouse crap, as if they were Gods. Told the bitch off. Oh, if you're reading this barnacles, you stupid ass stain, don't you have to go masturbate to your Modest Mouse poster now? '_' Hm. That'll all for now. Bye bye...

Crap. I have to go back to school on Monday. This summer went by too quick T-T ...I'll be in 8th grade. At least I know my school building well... like, where the class rooms are. I went to the same building last year for 7th grade. And after THIS school year, I have to suffer 4 years of High School. Goody. -.-' And then there's college. Shit. Hm... At least I got into the higher English class I wanted. English Academy. It only had 25 available spots. At first, when I got my first schedule at registration on the 10th, I didn't make it. But yesterday, I got a call from a school counselor. There's an available spot for me! ^_^ I wanted to be in that class bad... You write stuff. And that's practically the only thing I'm half-assed good at. Hm. Maybe I'll take up guitar. ....I don't know why I just said that. Wish me luck in that school doesn't suck ass as much as last year did. =^o.o^=

  • TALITM Added to Collection... SOAD too.

by Psychotic Penguin on August 17, 2006
I bought Take a Look in the Mirror, Korn's sixth album, a few days ago.... Along with System of a Down's Toxicity. They've both been good so far... but I've noticed a pattern with me listening to new CDs in the car. The day I got TALITM, I decided to listen to it on the way home for the first time. I've only heard three songs from that album, leaving me with 10 tracks of unknown territory. Now here is the thing: whenever I listen to a CD for the very first time, and it's when I'm in the car, I barely fucking listen to it ever again. It happened with Untouchables. On the way home from buying Untouchables, I decided to break it out early and listen to it already. A mistake. By the time we (my mom and I) pulled into our driveway, we had gotten half-way through track 5, Bottled Up Inside. Now when I listen to music in the car for the first time, I barely pay attention to the lyrics or the music, I just have the CD on to just have decent music playing. Now, today, I can't listen to Untouchables without putting it on repeat on some song (usually Here To Stay, Thoughtless, Alone I Break, or Make Believe.), or shutting it off. And it's a very fucking good album! I just can't listen to it! >.< That pisses me off... And now the same thing is happening with Take a Look in the Mirror. We (again, mom and I) had been driving around enough to enough places and had enough stops to us to get to hear TALITM aaaallllll the way to mid-way through the last song, When Will This End? Stopping to eat at Sonic in the car may have had some part in that ^.^' and now, just two days later, I've yet to hear a single song from that album. That's right. It's happening agian. From what I heard in the car, I loved it! But now... I CANNOT LISTEN TO IT IF MY LIFE DEPENDED ON IT!!! GYYYAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >_< DAMMIT! It's been a month and a half since I bought Untouchables, and just now I've gotten to listen to it thoroughly. I hope I can warm up to this one quicker... That'll piss me off SO bad... Because, before I wanted it, I would see it in CD stores and stuff, but when I wanted it, it suddenly wasn't available. I went about two and a half weeks before it surfaced in a store somewhere. A good price, too. Oh, and Toxicity is a kick ass album. If your a SOAD fan, BUY IT!!!! BUY IT NOW, OR I WILL HUNT YOU DOWN AND SLAP YOU WITH A FISH!!!!! Sigh... I listened to 3 songs of them I've never heard before for the first time IN THE CAR... AND NOW I CAN'T LISTEN TO THOSE THREE SONGS!!!!!! CRAP!!! PS: I saw Clerks 2 the same day I bought those CDs. It's a funny movie, but there's not enough Jay and Silent Bob. It's funny as hell, though... Despite that I've yet to watch Clerks, the first one. Oh, and I got the new Korn DVD, Live On The Other Side. I've yet to watch it as well, but that's only because I don't have a functioning DVD player at the moment. Hopefully that'll change soon, though... .()_() . . (\_/) (='.'=) . (O.o) (")_(") _(.>

  • Who Then Now DVD Stuff... Funny!

by Psychotic Penguin on August 13, 2006
I found four Who Then Now DVD thigns from YouTube. Who Then Now is a DVD from Korn, released several years ago. This was shot around the time that they recorded their first two records. Here's part one: How Korn got it's name. A short intro, only about a minute long. Jonathan playing the pipes. God, he was cute back then... actually, he's still pretty cute now... God, I need a life... ._. Part two: The history of the band. And Fieldy, Jonathan, and Head spitting beer and Cracker Jack at each other. Part 3: Jonathan screaming "WHHHYYYYYY?!???!!?!?!?!" at the top of his lungs for the song 'Proud'. Nicknames. The recording of 'Life Is Peachy'. Munky. David. Part 4: Head bought a lemon. God, they seemed like beer pigs back then... Guzzle, guzzle, guzzle... Jonathan gets deep in his lyrics (Kill You and Daddy). And Head singing Lowrider. Well, that's all for now. Anoher cat of mine died, but this one was very, very sick. Bee-Boo. He had feline lukemia (sp?) and was really skinny... I knew he didn't have much time left. Send him love, also...

  • The Concert... Right...

by Psychotic Penguin on August 09, 2006
Well... other than the cat thing the next day, the night went extremely well. The band Bury Your Dead was already playing by the time my mom and I got there about 7 PM. Yes, my mom brought me to the concert. I'm THIR-FUCKING-TEEN. GET OVER IT. We were able to get in acceptionally quick, after being groped by over-zealous security staff. There were more things there then I had expected. Something called 'Pin the Tail on the Jackass' (The 'Jackasses' were the 'Two Guys In the Morning', a radio morning show that comes in the radio station), win a CD if you can pin a racoon tail on their asses. Ha. Guess the number things, "Guess the Number of Corn Nuts in this jar for a chance to win $101", I guessed 302 Corn Nuts. A 'spin the wheel and get something' thing, I won tickets to a local Baseball game that was going to be later that week. But, I hate sports, so I gave the tickets away. I bought a Concert shirt (A MUST for any concert), a sticker, and an autographed CD ($20 for an autographed CD. I got Korn's "See You On the Other Side", with all four members of the band that signed it. I'm so happy. I like how Jonathan signs stuff with his little 'HIV' smiley face. It's so cute.) I wouldn't expect it to be so loud during the concerts ^.^' I had to put little wads of tissue paper in my ears to keep from blowing out my eardrums. Bury Your Dead was already done with their set, next was the Japanese band, Dir En Grey. But it was so distorted, I couldn't stand it. All I could hear was the drums, and maybe some guitars. So we waited that out, then stayed for some of Fly Leaf. Same thing. A couple of good songs. People were drinking like fishes. Beer, mixed drinks, everything, out the ASS. Mom said everybody would be good and wasted by the time Korn came on. People were throwing their drinks above the crowd and let it rain half-drunken beer all over everybody. Good thing I was well in the back, away from the big crowds. Then.. Korn came on. EVERYBODY went freaking insane... even cheering when they unveiled Jonathan's mic stand (It's so cool... he has a statue of a naked lady as a mic stand.). It got all dark... then, out of nowhere, the beginning riff to 'Right Now' blared through the wall of speakers. WHOOOOO!!!!! At first, when Jonathan started singing, to me it sounded as though he sucked in a balloon of helium. But when I put some of the tissue paper in my ears, like ear plugs, he sounded normal. Then they did Twist. I sang along because I know how he scats it out in concerts. He does it the same way in concerts, and it sounds totally different than the CD version of it. Then came Politics, their next single. They played that very well, but it isn't one of my favorite songs. With that over, Love Song came next. A good song. They had what looked like a kind of animated thing behind then while they were playing, like a little cartoon with the boy and animals from the See You On the Other Side album. It was awesome and freaky. Then came A.D.I.D.A.S. Oh, everybody loved that. I got to see Jonathan pretend to jerk off (Hahaha... Cool.), and got to scream 'FUCK!!' at the top of my lungs. Falling Away From me was next. Another favorite, though it sounded funny with Munky doing backing vocals. Then they did a quick intermission with the end of 'Open Up' playing, and that only meant one thing... once the music stopped and the break was over... 'WAIT!! I'M COMING UNDONE!!!' Hoo... That was good. I'll add more later... I'll try to remember the rest of the set list...

  • Concert Later... First Things First

by Psychotic Penguin on August 09, 2006
I'll describe the concert later... I got some shit to say first... Some really really bad news... ...One of my favorite cats died today. He got ran over by accident. Right after the fucking concert, the morning after, I'm still kinda excited from the whole thing, and my mom was leaving for work. She was in a big hurry so she wouldn't be late. She was pulling out of the drive-way... and she didn't she him... She came running in the house, crying and shit in freaky, gasping sobs, screaming "I HIT BULLY! OH MY GOD!" and shit like that. Bully is one of my cats. She ran back outside to check on him, then came running back into the house again, sobbing about 5 times harder. "OH GOD!! IT WAS ELVIS!!" Elvis is... um, was... one of my cats. I didn't cry at first, but it didn't take me long. ... Why did it have to be Elvis? He was healthy... nice... cute... but he had to die after one of the best nights of my entire life. My mom left for work after calling my dad, who was out somewhere, and told him to come home. Sigh... Everybody loved Elvis. We found him in the field next door when he was a kitten, about 5 years ago, and we took him in. He wasn't like our other cats... he was more like a dog. He would follow you around, and he would sit on our drive-way and just stare out at the street, waiting for something, like a dog to pick on or an alley cat to chase away. He was our little guard-cat, like a guard-dog that purrs. When my mom would open her car door and he'd be out there, he'd jump into the car and get in her lap. Visitors would always say how cute he was and the little kids they had with them would always want to pet him. He had six toes on each foot... and it made it look like his paws were bigger, like he was wearing mittens. That's what made him special. He was able to father a few litters of kittens. We now have two other kittens with six toes, Mittens and Cappy, both little girls. There's probably a few more litters we don't know about, with all the unfixed alley cats around here. He went without pain... At least it was quick. The way most of our cats die is they get really sick and suffer a lot, until we take them to the vet to be put to sleep or they die on their own. I wouldn't want to see him sick and dying.. that would break my heart even more. My dad's going to bury him in the median by the sidewalk, where Elvis used to lay a lot. Elvis would like that. He used to sleep there all day... and now he's going to be sleeping there forever. I'm crying again... I stopped for a while, but now I'm all depressed again. I had typed something similar to this post once and almost submitted it, but something fucked up my computer for a minute, and I wasn't able to. Sigh... That's why I consider 'Dead' from Korn my anthem: All I want in life is to be happy (Happy) It seems funny to me How fucked things can be Every time I get ahead I feel more dead I start to feel good, but then something takes it away, and I feel like I'm nothing again, like I'm dead. (That's a quote from Jonathan Davis, though maybe not the exact words... DAMN he looked cute in his kilt yesterday...) But.. I'll get over it sooner or later. My dad went and checked on my mom at work and said that she's feeling a lot better, so that's good. A moment of silence for Elvis, please, for the little soldier that lived out on the drive-way, for the loving and caring cat he was, is, and forever will be... I love you, Elvis. Rest in peace.
