A couple weeks ago I started listening to AiC for no reason at all and became hooked all over again. Layne Staley has one of the most amazing voices I've ever heard. I remember crying when I heard that he had died and when Kurt Cobain died I didn't. His death (Layne's) affected me in a big way and I have no idea. Now I'm sitting here doing all kinds of research on grunge music. Starting with the Pixies and going on to Green River. Thanks to my husband who was hugely into that scene and actually had a band who covered PJ and Nirvana songs. :-) I also went to www.laynestaleyfund.com and went to see if their were any t-shirts available and I wound up emailing his mother! Of all people I spoke with his mother in an email. She's a very nice woman. Anyway I suggest anyone that reads this go check out the Layne tribute site. And if anyone else has been affected hugely by Layne's death even 4 years later let me know because it's starting to bother me.
