Wow, people these days. You know? My cousin loves the type of music that I hate, 50 Cent and Fall Out Boy, shit like that. I was listening to RHCP's "Dani California". Relatively new song, right? WRONG. She goes to me, "Ewwww, that's way too old for me". IT CAME OUT A FRICKIN MONTH AGO!! God, this proves why music today is on a downfall. People only listen to the new shit because it's cool, not because it's a great song. She was listening to Rhianna's "Unfaithful" right. New song. I ask her "Do you like that song?" "NO, BUT EVERYBODY ELSE IS LISTENING TO IT" WOW!!!!!!!!! People, music is not a new fad. It is life, it has been around forever, going through our veins, entwining itself with our everyday lives. Listen to what you like, to what you want to hear. Listen to music that you really think is good. You know what, I might have blasted Fall Out Boy in the past, but if you like it, listen to it. If it makes you happy, listen to it. Because nobody should tell you what to listen to, or when to listen to it. If I am listening to Jimi Hendrix, I don't care that it's old, I love it and his music, along with many others, is awesome, to me, and in my mind, only to me, because it is MY music. MUSIC IS TIMELESS. The music that you enjoy is YOU. Now, go ahead, put in that favorite CD of yours and listen to it. And if you're listening to Fall Out Boy, just don't tell me, lol, and everything will be alright. Thank you.
