i'm reluctant to call it a fall out boy tour, cause...well, they just weren't the most memorable set. maybe it was a little unfortunate that someone at crush music selected cobra starship to support, considering just how an exciting live show they put on - not that i'm complaining, of course. sometimes it's nice to just hear music, but on sunday it was awesome to see a performer who was into the audience, and gabe definately was. i'm a little disappointed to have since discovered that most of his banter is pretty regulation from gig to gig, but hey, i guess if yr doing five or six shows a week, for a few months at a time, you'd be pretty hard pushed to get something original every single gig. and some of it was ad-libbed [like the bit where he yelled at a guy in the front row "yes, i'm talking, you douchebag. we've trashed the stage [they had], now we're clearing up, and then we'll play when we're ready. we're ready? right. this song's for you, my friend, cause you? yr a D**K!"] in short? check them out if you can - their new album [while the city sleeps, we rule the streets] is pretty good, considering the band started off with a parody of gwen stefani's hollaback girl. and yes - they got sued for it :]
