[SHIFT and CAPS LOCK are my favorite keys] Everyone (all of whom are probably emo and know about this shit anyways) say that this song is about somenone who "hurts themselves". I'm not so sure, I'm not really one to put my stupid butt out there and say something so i didn't. Their conclusions were elemetary, they were superficial and vapid. Even the ones who insisted that there was more to the song and proceeded to fudge the definition of metaphor to suit their own needs. I just started this site and i'm having so much fun already. My interpretation: [If you] Can't take the kid from the fight, Take the fight from the kid. I know it's only one line, but i can fudge the others to my will anyways. I hear child abuse, and it's sad. I smell a kid waking up in a hospital bed and seeing a shrink who get's it all wron (just like these kids). He's young, he smells things. He's here [at the hospital] often and it's getting routine. The stop the anesthetic and they stop caring [apathy and urgency ~juxtaposition anyone?] and he must start "commotions on the gurney" again and again. I don't trust these lyrics anyways, half of them are wrong. It's not normal because it doesnt look like abuse, but the doctors "deal" . Everything's ok. And it's not. "AWESOME SONG, I LOVE IT!!" because you think it's about suicide and girlfriends
