the title of this entry or this journal?
by Kaicille Eris on October 10, 2005Well I now have quite a few journals... Of course each one pertains to a different matter. This one I think I shall dedicate to my music life, it seems only fair. I'm not sure why I would though, since, not a sould will read the damned thing. Anyway...
Let's see... most of my life before high school I wasn't even allowed to listen to music. Now isn't that strange? lol. I guess my music loving first began when my sister brought home a Linkin Park cd, I absolutely adored their music as she did as well. Then in my sophmore year of high school my teacher, (for my own teachers safety let's call him Dann) Anyway Dann told me that since I was goth I should be into better music.
Dann considered anyone who was openminded, slightly creative, and slightly philosophical to be goth. I guess that's why I fit into that little subculture. He quickly pinned my taste for "fucked up" music, and by that I only mean that it would be considered fucked up to my parents virgin ears... Anyway he thought that I would adore Nine Inch Nails and Tool.
Since my parents are super christians I didn't have a snowballs chance in hell of bringing home an NIN cd or any other cd for that matter.(unless you believe in Dante's hell in which case it would be a teardrop's chance in hell or something like that...) It was on an air plane, Delta Song to be exact that I first heard the song that created this mental revolution of mine. Nine Inch Nails- Head like a Hole. Of course after finally hearing other songs via limewire I quickly found that this song was terribly inferior to songs like Sin or Prison Sex.
I have yet to see the Prison Sex video, that fact upsets me greatly. Anyway My love for NIN and tool grew and grew. yay for Nin.
