• Jack Johnson In Between Dreams Lyrics finished

Hi, I've just finished transcribing the lyrics of the latest album of Jack Johnson. Please have a look and let me know any mistakes. The album is a real masterpiece, even though pretty different from the two others. I think Jack has grown and this new album is there to prove it. Crying shame is just an amazin song, politically heavy but not demagogically obvious as can be some recent songs. The message is subtle but strong. I should say though that i'm not a big fan of 'Belle' and 'Situations', they're not finished songs to me, especially 'Belle'. They could be nice nondigetic music for his movies but they shouldn't be on a record, imho. Still i think that situations has very nice lyrics, but it's more of a small poem to me than a song. More than ever, we must admit that Jack's wife is a lucky woman to have a man love her so much as jack does. Just listen to Better together, or Do you remember, and no other way and you will understand what i mean. Amazin' love songs, that any guy wishes to be able to write ;) The First single, Sitting wishing waiting is a pretty hard song about Love that can be hard when it doesn't go both ways. No other way is a pretty twisted love song saying that basically a couple mustn't have any secrets to each other even through tough times, cause there is no other way to love the other any way than to share everything with them. Banana pancakes is one of my favorites. Every time i listen to it, i really feel like i'm in my bed cuddled in my blanket. The beach sounds at the beginning of the track must help me feel like this, like if i was on the shore in my sleeping bag waiting for the first waves to come up in the morning ;) As usual in the other songs, there is that peacefully yet strong ambiance that just calms you. As one of my friends told me once, it's like being in the middle of NYC, and yet once the headphones are on, you're in hawaii on the north shore, waiting for the nezt wave. All in all, apart from a few glitches that i told you, i'm pretty amazed by this album. I must admit i was a little bit concerned and afraid cause the second and third album are tough for an artist i think. Brushfire fairytales is a masterpiece, and i'd say that In between dreams comes second. On and On is a good album, just not as strong as the two others, imho. That's all folks, enjoy the album, and go buy it ;) it's way worth it
