i didnt know i even had a journal on here, its been a while since i posted anything on here, last time i think i argued with somebody on POD and maybe abortion rights. i went to a protest in downtown seattle on saturday, we wrapped the federal building in crime scene tape, because a crime was about to be happening within those walls if they let us go to war. it was beautiful, the unity was amazing, met a guy who had dredlocks down to his feet, he wrapped them up kinda so they only went to his butt that day. i should put some poetry in here, i dont think im gonna write much, but i might, because no one knows i have this so all my words will be safe here. my name is Laurel, i am 15, i like peace on earth and i hate fighting, but i love civil disobedience, especially at protests, i am very anti-war, and pro womens rights, but personally i would not have an abortion, but that is my own right to make that decision, you see the logic, well i do. i will be at every rally held in seattle that is against war that i can get to, and for those of you who say support our troops, i am supporting them by trying to get them out of the line of fire where they are going to be exposed to depleated uranium, it will be worse then the gulf war syndrom. the government knows about the depleited uranium in the bullets and shell casings for bombs the people we are fighting are adding to their artilery, thats why minorities are getting such a strong push towards military duties, the government is racist and i dont care who says what, minorities do not get any decent help from the government unless they are in the military. i also hate bush, but i am guessing that was a given, i saw a sign at a protest, it basicly was perfect, this is what it said IF WE HAD WANTED A WAR, WE WOULD HAVE ELECTED BUSH i dont know if any of you realize this, but we never elected him, the majority voted for Gore, who would have taken this situation alot better. well we are trying to get him impeached, but unless that happens, i am going to lobby any other canidate for president over bush next election. i think i am done, i am only 15, i will be 16 soon though, and i like to speak my mind, especially when no one is listening. laurel
