• Just got back from my short holiday (I went sking, in Lapland) which means that I'm quite a bit happier than last time. Last time I was sad. And the week after that I was feeling very down and I'd have been listing Depressing Songs. There would have been lots of R.E.M. and Coldplay, bit of The Rasmus. But today is a good day despite the few disappointments. I've been listening to Franz Ferdinand even louder and even more than usually. "Michael" is the hottest song I know. It's catchy, it's sexy, it's very dancable. Love it. "Evil and a Heathen" is similar. It's evil and it's a heathen and Kapranos sings about smooth naked canals and teeth being black with wine. It sends shivers up my spine and is a brilliant song. The there's "I'm Your Villian" and "Shopping for Blood" and many others. I should also mention The Killers, because they're very good at these songs too. "Midnight Show" gives me the creeps but in a good way."Andy, You're A Star" is great too. These are The songs to listen to in the dark. In the dark.. Matinée! Must not forget "The Dark of the Matinée". Such a brilliant song. Hothothot. Most of these songs are the type that have to be danced to. You can't listen to them without starting to do cool or not-so-cool dancemoves. -so come and dance with me michael-
