Electric Dreams

  • I held you in my arms that night. I looked into those eyes, and you looked into mine. Each second brought me closer to loving you darling. But happiness is just a lie. It was all a dream,  a mere fantasy. So strong yet ripped at the seams. Love couldn't catch me. Except perhaps in electric dreams. Nothing more to see, you can leave. You can't carry the burden of me. They say I'll anchor you into the bottomless sea, fit for the pityful and weak. Happiness can't catch me except perhaps in electric dreams. I'm in too deep, I'm over my head. All I can do is lie in bed and hope to see you again, in electric dreams.
