• all my problems are overflowing from my head and spilling out of my mouth. i'm doing okay, overall. i wish i could tidy up my mind though. it's full of garbage and useless sentiments-- i apologize for the redundancy. i want some clarity and motivation. but i spend most of my time with in my car with my eyes glazed over. 

  and it's not a bad life. i love laughing and being useless with my friends. it's pleasant. i don't have a lot of complaints. i need to stop crying about things that shouldn't matter anymore, though. it doesn't help anything. i need some new hobbies, but it's hard getting out of bed for anything other than school, work, or friends. 

  i need to stop eating a big bowl of sad every morning and turning my bed into a prison some days. i have too much potential, yet i lack passion. it's so hard to find anything to care about these days. it's all either risky or boring. but i suppose it's important to make an effort. it's better than ruminating over the past. 
  
  i'm slowly dying and i don't know if i'm making the most of my prime.

  I suggest you organize your thoughts first before you speak or write as you so self-describe in the need to "tidy up your mind" as compared to garbage or trash. Attaining clarity and motivation requires thought-sorting and analysis which is a depth level your mind needs to engage in as part of the exercise. And that is why you present yourself in a bungling muddle of conflicts and a lot of unnecessary words that don't help your case. But that part is the part that is easily fixable. What I find appalling is your statement, " it's so hard to find anything to care about these days. it's all either risky or boring!" That, my dear does not come as an accident. Your life is boring because it is all about yourself!

    Thank you for the patronizing reply, my dear! <br /> <br /> I enjoy writing here because it allows me to look back on previous mindsets and compare them to my current ones. My life is not boring. Interesting things happen all the time, but I'm jaded because the people around me are either unstable (risky to get close to) or uninteresting (boring, in my opinion). But, like I said, it's important for me to make an effort to get to know them instead of ruminating over the past. This entry is about me wanting to improve my mind, form lasting friendships, and make the most of my prime. <br /> <br /> And you didn't even give me any actual advice. Just some pretentious babble like "thought-sorting and analysis which is a depth level your mind needs to engage in as part of the exercise". I'm struggling with depression so I have a negatively skewed perception of the world that I'm working to improve. That's what the garbage and useless sentiments are. Obviously, I'm trying to organize my thoughts. That's what the entry is about... <br /> <br /> It makes me laugh that there's somebody that goes around making assumptions and leaving patronizing replies in people's online journals. I write here because it helps me and sometimes it helps people to know that there are others going through the same issues. It's about making connections, not making criticisms. Take care.
