• Dear fellow members My name is Rhys Clydesdale-Fox, I'm 18 years of age and I'm currently studying at Sir James Henderson School in Milan, Italy and I'm studying for the IB Diploma in year 12 as I had to respeat this year as I began my AS levels in england. I'm going to treat this Journal as my Form of blog and apologies for any uninteresting or ninterlectual rants I may say as this is my first propper blog as I feel I need some form of release for the heavy work oad the IB requires! My hobbies...I have been singing for almost 6 years now and 4 of those years I was a frontman vocalist for a progressive rock band. However our reason for breaking was becaue I recieved an offer to come to Italy, Milan to better my education. Conversely, my love for music and it's symbolic references will adhere. I currently (seeing as there is no other form of musical modern practicses in my school)perform in the senior and chamber choir of my school and vary from area of vocals from Bass to Alto. I have consistantly throughout my entirely life been surrounded by music as my family have a history of passion for such an art. My second cousin was one step away from hitting it big time but decided on producing a family first. On the other hand, he still performs when he has spare time and that he sure can do with ease! My genre of music can vary from LITERALLY ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING! however, due to my band history, I tend to steer towards the direction of rock (preferably modern, progressive) but I also do strongly take interest in more soulful, moving pieces. The only form of music I tend to avoid is Rap because, although I admire and understand it as an art form, it is just not to my personal aquired taste. I hope to bring another side to the meaning of a song that not many would originally look at and understand why or how it's being portrayed in such a manner. I would love to be able to shed light onto possible meanings for any form of song but primarily pieces that are open to speculation. If you got this far thankyou for reading my blog and I hope for you to take interest for what I will have to say in terms of symbolic meaning behind meaningful but not so obvious meaningful pieces of art in which endeavour to relate to as music with meaning.

  • I love "symbolic meaning behind meaningful but not so obvious meaningful pieces of art." Every time I read poetry or lyrics like that, I get goosebumps :)
