Father of my being
I long for Your presence.
I am not but a wad of clay
that has rolled distant from Your side.
I have moved into the hot dessert
where I crumble and crack without You.
Lord, moisten me with Your holy waters.
Make me whole again
for I am lost without You.
I feel a chill, a breeze in my empty chest,
Your home, the place I wouldn't let You in.
But I am setting out the welcome mat for You Lord.
I can't bear another second without You in my heart...
my Psalm
