alright so i'm new here. I think I'm really going to enjoy this, becuase everyone on this website cares about music just as much as I do.
anyways as this journal goes I'm thinking its going to be my concert diary, so I'll go ahead and tell you about the bands I've seen (most recent first):
Umphrey's Mcgee: Atl: Masquerade:
Awesome show. Highlight of the night was when they played the Doobie Brother's Black Water and when they played a Metallica cover. They played an extremely long show from 9:45 to 1:45 with a 45 minute intermission. Since the show was general admission I was able to get up to the front, and afterwards was able to converse with the band and get their autographs.
Bela Fleck& the Flecktones, Keller Williams, and Yonder Mountain String Band: Atl: the Fox: Acustic Planet Tour:
Another great show. Though, I was dissappointed with YMSB's performance & a little of Bela's. Bela becuse they didn't play Monkey See, More Love, Big Country...or any of my other favorites. But I guess that's becuase they're trying to gain support for their new album.
Keller Williams was awesome. Highlight was when he played Freaker by the Speaker& a cover of Sublime's: What I got. BUT, could have been better if he did Blazebago.
SInce this show was at the Fox it wasn't general admission. I bought tickets for the Orchestra on the top floor, but I was able to get down to the regular floor and sit in with some guys 3 rows infront of the stage. Pretty good improvements, ehh? Afterwards, I was able to talk to the Flecktones and get all their autographs. Awesome show
Blues traveler: Columbus ga: Riverfest: on the River:
prettty good show. not to much of a crowd. The whole time John was getting stoned on the stage in front of the corwd and never knew when to come in, but it was still an awesome show. I was able to move myself to the 2nd row of folks and one of my friends was able to get his harmonica.
