its funny that this thing is still up. like the blog i only post in every 4 years.
so, first things first:
computer: 2.7ghz or maybe 3, dualcore, 2gb ram, intel 80gb SSD (the only reason its fast), and ofcourse my 2TB raid 5 nas for storage. its actaully really hard to run out of 2tb because there is so much crap on there that i can delete. i dont care about my computer as much as i used to. maybe ill get a nice business dell laptop with a dock next.
working at this crazy job where they didnt pay me for a month straight, but now they do and im making 2x as much as i was in 2006. working from home is great though, and not really having a boss etc. its probably not the best place to work career wise and def not good job security, but damn, not having to get up in the morning is fantastic. i feel like ive been on a 4 months vacation.
married now, have been for a year. wife is hot, love her. made a website in grails over 4 months. now need to make another one for my company but for now i am addicated to SC2. cya in 5 years!

Lets keep true to form. Computer: the one is use the most is a 15" 2.6ghz core i7 macbook pro with 16ram and 512 ssd (late 2013). the other one is a 13" macbook also with 16gb but that one is a "late 2011" I think. Still have the 2TB NAS which has all my files. Ive had 2 disks fail on it, but one at a time so nothing was ever lost. I should one day soon get a 2tb disk and back all my shit up on it. That NAS is almost obsolete - getting files from it is very slow, though i suspect that its because im on a mac. Sony was just hacked a few days ago. Working at HN now. The other place that didnt pay me was a good intro to startups and what not to do. I enjoyed working from home but after a few months of not getting paid it became really hard to continue working there. Lucking I found a job a OM and was happy there for a few years until they got bought. HN is as good as OM ever was and it on the way to being profitable. Learning angularjs there right now. Right now it seems to me like its a framework that will be really good to have on my resume but i dont think ill (or anyone else) will be using it in 2 years. Having just jquery and no frameworks isnt good for my resume, so putting that there is a good idea.
Wrote XN with rob over the span of about 2 years. its doing pretty much nothing other then being good for my resume which i dont need.
enough about work and computers.
I have a kid, A - he is 9.5 months old. He is a curious kid who wants to eat everything. Watching him is a full time job. I am really impressed with B for how much she cares about how and how much time she puts into it. I have dreams every now and again that he can talk like an adult. he cant. he does say "mamamamamamammamamama" a lot. not saying anything that sound like dad yet, but id rather that he say "poop" instead anyway.
catman is cute. he is the man and is impressive.
Glad this site has kept my ramblings for all these years. I would have deleted them. cya in 5 years!
