Winter Trees, a poem by Alison Brady

  • My love is like winter trees Bare, raw and honest – And just waiting to blossom Withstanding forever Throughout the harshest weather Swaying slightly, perhaps – But yet, unflinching My love is like winter trees, Refreshed and unique Yet like so many others that appear alike My love is like winter trees, It’s branches reaching towards the pale, luminous light Stretching slowly and plummeting softly through restless nights My love is like winter trees, Inspiration for beauty Yet however supernatural, Fears the flame.
