  • Every translation of the lyrics from "A Decade Under The Influence" were very thoughtful, and I see how most of the conclusions could have been drawn. That being said, I doubt that Taking Back Sunday would have written and released a song concerning one man's abandoning of their band. It seems obvious to me that the song is about a relationship or sex. Especially with the lyrics "Anyone will do tonight. Close your eyes, just settle, settle." This quite obviously is in reference to someone that is desperate for sex and "close your eyes.." along with "your skin and bones, I'm a nervous wreck" are in reference to the anxiety and excitement that comes with sex. Also, concerning the comparison of Taking Back Sunday's two albums, I think that they are both amazing. I prefer softer music so I can relate to "Where You Want To Be" easier but I still love "Tell All Your Friends." I was lucky enough to see TBS in concert in Houston with Matchbook Romance and Fall Out Boy and their stage presense is tremendous. I find if offensive for people to assume that Adam is stoned while he is performing because from what I saw, he was not stoned and was very passionate about putting on a great show for us. I encourage all of you Taking Back Sunday critics to listen more to their new album, it is one of the greatest albums of its' genre of all time.
