Seemingly eventful events (in no particular order)
-Went to my first huge concert!
-Saw Christofer Drew "in the flesh". And began to dislike his high-ass self by at least 50%
-Met the members of The Cab and Alex from Hey Monday. They were all really nice and made up for how disappointing Christofer was.
-Went to the Mississippi/Alabama/Louisiana area for the first time. It's pretty much just like here, but with weirder plants and the people were really unfriendly. Except the ladies at the visitor's center we stopped at in Louisiana were the nice and hospitable type.
-Went to Olive Garden for the first time
-Went to Urban Outfitters for the first time.
-Got asked out twice (by two different people!)
-Said yes once, no once.
-Got high speed internet, which lead to my discovery of how entertaining youtube and vloggers are.
-Got the 2nd holes in my ears pierced.
-Learned that one of my friends was bi.
-Watched one of my friends, who ALWAYS thought there was no one for her in this school, begin to REALLY like a guy. Zorg, I hope things work out for you and am really happy for you guys!
-Met someone that i TRULY hated. Gen, I HATE your baby killing, stripper-whore, drug pushing self! I hope I never see you again! Haha, but I hope you never read this because you might literally come find me and kill me :O
-Passed AND failed my driver's test! (Most cringeworthy moments of 2010! Automatic fail on the first try, and I honestly thought I failed the second time, but somehow I barely managed to pass)
-Went on a pathetic first date to McDonalds (second most cringeworthy moment of 2010. Looking back, all i can think is WTF?! But it was somehow still a little fun, and I don't regret it. It taught me a lesson I needed to learn)
-Made a lot of new friends. Even if I don't show it, I am so thankfull for all of you! Especially my band buddies!
-Went on a ridiculously long kayaking trip for school. My friends wanted to take a "shortcut" and I my boat got stuck between 2 trees. I was saved by the most random pairing of people ever! That was a great day :)
-Went to homecoming happily single!
-Discovered my love of banana peppers.
-Drank my first "water in a bag"
-Watched two of my best friends go down the wrong path. M, I know you aren't nearly as drugged up as half our school, but it annoys me when you get drunk a lot, especially when you tell me to also and to "give in to the pressure!" Hell no, just because you said that! And K, I will admit even though I've rarely seen you guys together, your boyfriend seems REALLY sketchy. Take a good hard listen to Dance Hall Drug.
-Tried to set up two friends who ended up being HORRIBLE for each other. Thank god his parents didn't want him to date.
-Learned that "If you want something done right, do it yourself"
-Learned that I still have A LOT to learn and a looonngg way to go in life.
2010 was a hell of a lot better than 2009. 2011, please don't break the cycle and don't let me down!
My new year's resolutions:
1. Learn how to do some things that most people my age know how to do. Like, cook some basic foods like omlettes, french toast, and casserolls. And just learn to do all that stuff I feel stupid not knowing how to do.
2.Become a much better driver, cause the way I drive right now is pretty embarrassing!
3. GO TO WARPED!!!!!
4. Go on my 20 mile bike ride
5. The generic exercise more, eat more vegetarianly, etc...
6. Read most of the books in my 96 book long "Want to Read" section of my visual bookshelf on facebook. MUST reads include The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Wintergirls, and to finish the Sweep and Skinned series.
7. The most important of all, break down these walls that I've built around myself! I really need to break out of my awkward shell, stop being so afraid of guys, and GROW SOME BALLS!!! I'm way too wimpy :p
WOO HOO!!! My clock just hit 12:00 AM!! 2011 has officially begun!! I honestly felt a pang of excitement when I saw those numbers change. 2011, BRING IT ON!!!!
A nostalgic look at 2010, goals for 2011
