i'm still young but wow... when i see the way things are... it wasn't like this before... i wasn't like this. i used to trust people. i used to be sure that people meant what they said. now i second guess what people say and i doubt when people say they love me. things were so different. once upon a time i used to be able to look into someone's eyes without them looking away. once upon a time it was hard for me to lie. now i need to do it every day. now i need to hide. now i can't come out of the walls i've put around me to keep out the pain. i wasn't like this. i used to be open and unafraid and free. i could touch the sky and fly away if only i wanted to to. now i'm in chains and the net holding me down is a net of hate and love threaded together to make it impenetrable, inescapable... my prison, my hell is here on earth... or rather... it's my own heart
