3 CD's and a Trip to the Library

  • Sooo... I visited my local library recently. And of course, I rented out a few CD's, 'cos that's what I always do. Two Lights, by Five for Fighting All the Lost Souls, by James Blunt, And Coldplay Live 2003. First thing: Two Lights wasn't as good as I was expecting it to be. I love Mr. Ondrasik, but... eh. "Freedom Never Cries" and "California Justice" were good, as was "The Riddle" (but who doesn't love that song?). Just... eh. Disappointed in the acoustic "100 Years" too. Next: I'll admit, I ABSOLUTELY ADORE the album All the Lost Souls, and I think I'll write another song-by-song review, just because I have nothing better to do over the summer. Either way, love that album, love Mr. Blunt, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE (if you're a Blunt fan, you'll get that). Finally: Coldplay Live 2003. I bought "See You Soon" off that ablum in... what, January? Yeah. This album is just like LeftRightLeftRightLeft (in all its greatness) just with older songs. And I'm impressed. The DVD is pretty awesome too. My favorite one is the almost-9-minute-long "Everything's Not Lost." I was very tempted to sing along when Chris was telling the audience to. But I'm not a very good singer. Anyway, cheers! ~Gallow
