• Has anyone ever read a fanfic where every other word is misspelled and you don't have any idea what is going on? Or where the characters are so not like themselves it's ridiculous, like they have Darth Vader sobbing into his pillow? Or the spelling is good and the characters are believable, but they take the lead characters and give them obscene powers(I hear Bella Swan as a werecat is a favorite)? And, of course, the infamous Mary Sues. I personally have nothing against them, as I am pretty sure everyone has made up one for themselves at some point or another. But other people do not want to hear about your fantasy! And, though there is quite a bit of controversy about this, I firmly believe that OCs that have a romantic relationship with a character are NOT Mary Sues. As long as the OC is normal and believably human, and does not have every male in sight falling at her feet in worship, I deem the story acceptable.
